@cb_doge Could make them faster, but engine production is not the limiting factor. I’m very excited about the next-gen Raptor engine that is robust enough not to require a heat shield. Will also have more thrust, higher Isp and many other improvements.

Just inspected the Starship launch pad and it is in great condition! No refurbishment needed to the water-cooled steel plate for next launch. Congrats to @Spacex team & contractors for engineering & building such a robust system so rapidly! https://t.co/py5m1uhtEi

@ylecun It’s amazing how many software engineers were infected by the Covid mind virus – they should be smarter than that. That said, synthetic mRNA has great potential outside of pointless vaccines.

@Scobleizer Vehicle control is the final piece of the Tesla FSD AI puzzle. That will drop >300k lines of C++ control code by ~2 orders of magnitude. It is training as I write this. Our progress is currently training compute constrained, not engineer constrained.

@tszzl It is hard to move the needle with physics these days. We need order of magnitude+ more powerful/sensitive hadron colliders for small stuff & space telescopes for big stuff. Civilization alternates between being science-limited (rare) & engineering-limited (frequent).

@Jason They claim to have a “wall” between news & advertising, but reporters know full well who butters their bread. For example, there were nonstop bogus articles about electric cars on fire, even though they’re 500% to 1000% less likely to burn than combustion engine cars. As soon…
