1. Nature of the Project

First Principles(“the Site”) is an independent, non-commercial fan encyclopedia documenting the public record of Elon Musk's ventures. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Elon Musk, Tesla, Inc., Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX), X Corp., xAI, Neuralink, The Boring Company, OpenAI, or any related entity. All trademarks, trade names, logos, and brand identifiers referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners.

2. Educational Purpose & Fair Use

Content on the Site — including company histories, timelines, quotes, predictions, and tweet records — is presented for educational, informational, and commentary purposes. We believe this use constitutes fair use under applicable copyright law. Images are sourced from public-domain, Creative Commons-licensed, or press-kit sources, and are attributed where required.

Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. Information about publicly traded companies (Tesla, X Corp.) is drawn from public sources and should not be relied upon for investment decisions.

3. Accuracy & No Warranty

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but the Site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Dates, figures, and quotes are cross-referenced from public sources but may contain errors. We may update, correct, or remove content at any time without notice. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

4. User Accounts & Paid Features

Some features require a free account (sign-in via Supabase Auth) or a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. AI Features (“Ask Elon”)

The Ask Elon feature is powered by xAI's Grok model and is provided for informational purposes only. Responses are generated by an AI and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Ask Elon does not represent the views of Elon Musk or any of his companies. Do not rely on AI-generated answers for factual, legal, medical, or investment decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site's original content — editorial text, data curation, interface design, and code — is the work of the First Principles project. Third-party content (quotes, filings, images, trademarks) remains the property of its respective owners. Nothing on this Site grants you any license to use third-party intellectual property.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, First Principles and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted with an updated “Last updated” date.
