Although Boeing got $4.2 billion to develop an astronaut capsule and SpaceX only got $2.6 billion, SpaceX finished 4 years sooner. Note, the crew capsule design of Dragon 2 has almost nothing in common with Dragon 1. Too many non-technical managers at Boeing.

@ashleevance If things go well, SpaceX will put about 50% more tonnage in orbit this year using Falcon, which would be above 90% market share. Once Starship is in full swing building a city on Mars, it will do ~99% of all payload to orbit & beyond, as that objective requires about a megaton…

@thejefflutz No, because this is the current peak speed per beam and the beams are large, so this system is only effective where there is no existing cellular service. This service works in partnership with wireless providers, like what @SpaceX and @TMobile announced.
