You can sense the sentience maturing [@DrJimFan] I was very late to own a Tesla but among the earliest to try out FSD v14. It's perhaps the first time I experience an AI that passes the Physical Turing Test: after a long day at work, you press a button, lay back, and couldn't tell if a neural net or a human drove you home.… https://x.com/i/web/status/2003593613918531891

Cool [@amasad] Grok on Tesla is super fun. Can brainstorm, learn a new thing, or simply ask “what’s in the news today” and dig into a specific story. I could see Tesla making an AI phone.

@ray4tesla Did my best to warn people that LiDAR isn’t optimal for cars. Roads are designed for biological neural nets & eyes, so digital neural nets & cameras will work best. I say this even though Dragon uses LiDAR for docking with Station, so I don’t intrinsically hate that technology.

@sobieski902 @TashaARK Supervised FSD is vastly safer than human driving. Unsupervised FSD is trending well. Over time, Version 12 (end-to-end neural nets) will far exceed human safety even when unsupervised.

@TesLatino Thanks to a great Autopilot/AI team working super hard! Doing “neural nets” without testing them against reality has led some groups to overestimate what they’re doing. Reality is the hardest sim.

@teslaownersSV @TheRealKeean We have to solve a huge part of AI just to make cars drive themselves. In retrospect, it was inevitable. The road system is designed for cameras (eyes) & neural nets (brains).

@TeslaClubWI Note, quality of experience can vary dramatically, as our neural nets have far more training data in some parts of the country than others, but this should improve rapidly with more driving in those regions.

@TeslaGong @ElonsBrain @CathieDWood @ARKInvest It will ultimately be used to make up for entire lost sections of the brain due to stroke/accident/congenital. Don’t want to get too excited, but the potential is truly transformational for restoring brain & motor functions. There is no other way to do it imo.

@jwangARK Tesla FSD computer’s dual SoCs function like twin engines on planes — they each run different neural nets, so we do get full use of 144 TOPS, but there are enough nets running on each to allow the car to drive to safety if one SoC (or engine in this analogy) fails.
