I’ve had a top secret clearance for many years and have clearances that themselves are classified. That said, FAR too much information is made “classified”. If something is easily found online or patently obvious, it should NOT be classified. This impedes effective… [@TONYxTWO] This moment from the USAID House Hearing is 🔥🔥🔥!!! “@elonmusk does have a security clearance, he has a top secret security clearance, by God he makes the rockets for NASA! But the suggestion that he somehow can’t be trusted to dig in to how we’re spending our money is nothing… )

Many Starships will go to Mars in 2 years, when the transit window opens again. The first wave will be without people and the second wave, 26 months later, with people, provided the first wave does not increment the crater count on Mars.

There are potentially serious concerns about the long-term safety of the @Space_Station. Some parts of it are simply getting too old and obviously that risk grows over time. Even though @SpaceX earns billions of dollars from transporting astronauts & cargo to the ISS, I [@CJHandmer] The ISS's structural integrity is far more marginal than is being publicly discussed. We are having multiple, and increasingly frequent, leaks from heavily fatigued node segments in the Russian section. When Aluminum gets flexed it fatigues and gets harder, increasing its

Initially making one 200 metric ton thrust engine common across ship & booster to reach the moon as fast as possible. Next versions will split to vacuum-optimized (380+ sec Isp) & sea-level thrust optimized (~250 ton).

This is significantly more than any country has launched with their entire rocket fleet in a year. Second is peak Soviet Union at ~500 tons. For a present day comparison, the rest of the world has delivered ~250 tons to orbit so far this year, mostly by China.
