Welcome! Orbital space centers and mass drivers on the Moon will be incredible. [@milichab] I’m joining @SpaceX and @xai with @JasonBud. X is the company realizing science fiction - reusable rockets, humanoid robots, data centers in space, and more. Almost 10 years ago, I joined SpaceX as an intern on Dragon 2 crew displays. This was in the era of the first rocket

@JasonDanheiser @WholeMarsBlog @28delayslater Self-driving cars & useful humanoid robots require a sophisticated understanding of reality. I am increasingly convinced that they are on the path to solving AGI. Should AGI be solved? I don’t know, but humanity is moving rapidly in this direction whether I like it or not.

@WholeMarsBlog Eventually, you will probably be able to upload a good approximation of your memories & mind state to “the cloud” with the ability to download it to a humanoid robot. You obviously won’t be quite the same as you are today.

Kids love using Grok Imagine, because they can speak their ideas and watch the images update immediately [@imPenny2x] Grok imagine collaboration with my 6 year old daughter. Prompt: A green dragon flying a rocket ship to mars to meet Elon Musk. He’s in space and there are a bunch of stars that look like robots. He’s gonna make an invention where you can golf on the moon without the balls

@AJamesMcCarthy @WholeMarsBlog Correct. Truly shameful of the media to dredge up an injury from two years ago due to a simple industrial Kuka robot arm (found in all factories) and imply that it is due to Optimus now.

@WholeMarsBlog I would like to have a strong influence on AI/robotics, not control it. I don’t think any one person should control it.

@SPEXcast @Robotbeat @John_Gardi @SpaceX Very dependent on volume, but I’m confident moving to Mars (return ticket is free) will one day cost less than $500k & maybe even below $100k. Low enough that most people in advanced economies could sell their home on Earth & move to Mars if they want.

@John_Gardi @w0lfyxD @Robotbeat @SpaceX Starship & Super Heavy will press tanks autogenously even in version 1. Very important, as helium costs more than oxygen on Falcon, even though liquid oxygen is 2/3 vehicle mass & helium weighs basically nothing.

@Erdayastronaut @NASASpaceflight @_Synders @John_Gardi @martinengwicht @JeromeJaccard @Robotbeat @alan1bernard You def don’t want electric pumps on a rocket engine! Raptor turbopumps alone need 100,000 horsepower per engine. That’s not a typo.

@ludan27 @Erdayastronaut @JeromeJaccard @Robotbeat @alan1bernard Yes, but single stage to orbit with no payload is pointless. Add Super Heavy rocket booster & orbital payload is gigantic. Only need booster on Earth, due to deep gravity well & thick atmosphere. Starship alone on moons & Mars.
