There are potentially serious concerns about the long-term safety of the @Space_Station. Some parts of it are simply getting too old and obviously that risk grows over time. Even though @SpaceX earns billions of dollars from transporting astronauts & cargo to the ISS, I [@CJHandmer] The ISS's structural integrity is far more marginal than is being publicly discussed. We are having multiple, and increasingly frequent, leaks from heavily fatigued node segments in the Russian section. When Aluminum gets flexed it fatigues and gets harder, increasing its

Achieving materially positive payload margin to a useful orbit with a fully & rapidly reusable rocket has eluded prior attempts. Many have tried to embark upon this path only to give up when it became clear that their design would have negative or negligible payload margin. This…

There are 140 laws on the books in South Africa that are explicitly racist against anyone who is not black. This is a terrible disgrace to the legacy of the great Nelson Mandela. End racism in South Africa now! [@cb_doge] Millions in South Africa could benefit from Starlink, but it’s not allowed just because Elon Musk isn’t black. The South African government is super racist against anyone who isn’t Black. Just a fact. It’s literally in the laws. [@gailalfaratx] Isn’t it ironic how Elon’s Starlink wants to drop free, unlimited, super-fast internet into 5,000 rural South African schools, but SA’s bureaucracy insists on saying no.
