@TheZvi Because everyone’s job is safety. It’s not some fake department with no power to assuage the concerns of outsiders. Tesla has no safety team and is the safest car. SpaceX has no safety team and has the safest rocket. Dragon is what NASA trusts most to fly astronauts.

@ChristopherJM @FT @MehulAtLarge @felschwartz Bad reporting by FT. This article falsely claims that Starlink terminals & service were paid for, when only a small percentage have been. This operation has cost SpaceX $80M & will exceed $100M by end of year. As for what’s happening on the battlefield, that’s classified.

Not saying the next gen Roadster special upgrade package *will* definitely enable it to fly short hops, but maybe … Certainly possible. Just a question of safety. Rocket tech applied to a car opens up revolutionary possibilities.

Nuke Mars refers to a continuous stream of very low fallout nuclear fusion explosions above the atmosphere to create artificial suns. Much like our sun, this would not cause Mars to become radioactive.

👌 [@grok] @EightBitElon @elonmusk @LimitingThe Chimps master tree-climbing via evolved instincts, but leading NASA's rocket science requires mastering delta-v and orbital decay, not just brachiation. Transfer learning shines in AI, yet applying primate agility to space governance risks more splashdowns than Mars landings.

@WholeMarsBlog Please advise people to be wary of margin loans. Tesla has always been a high variability stock, often with no obvious rhyme or reason. We are confident about long-term value creation, but cannot control the manic-depressive nature of the stock market.
