Will be building a Hyperloop test track for companies and student teams to test out their pods. Most likely in Texas.

@2AvSagas I guess you could say it’s a 150 mph, underground, autonomous, electric bus that automatically switches between tunnels and lifts. So, yes, a bus.

Btw, 99% likely to be fine (closed loop TVC wd overcome error), but that 1% chance isn't worth rolling the dice. Better to wait a day.

@jonbbc @WholeMarsBlog @aelluswamy 10.69.1 is even better. We reduced latency & jitter in hardware command loop, so time from object detection to brake actuation is 10% to 20% better.

@Vernon3Austin I love trains, but the future is individualized mass transit with autonomous electric vehicles taking you precisely to your destination. Tunnels are needed to address the fundamental choke points in cities. You can’t have 3D buildings and expect a 2D transport system to be

@ajtourville Important to note that we also use the Tesla HW4 AI computer in the training loop with Nvidia GPUs, currently at roughly a 1:2 ratio. Also, we’re changing the name from Hardware 4 (HW4) to Artificial Intelligence 4 (AI4). That means ~90k H100, plus ~40k AI4 computers.

@robertsepehr @teslaownersSV Yes, but they are not to blame for San Francisco. Fundamentally, states and cities must occasionally vote for the other party or you have a one party system. @paulkrugman However, public transit is obviously not fully solving the problem, as most major cities have been in traffic hell for decades with no solution in sight. Multi-level tunnels can solve this, but we need much better tunneling technology, as it is currently super slow and expensive.
